International
Protection Network

Your teams, trained to one standard.

The proposed training scope includes procedures, reporting, supervision, operational English and human rights.

Proposed services, subject to confirmed country coverage and contract.

The challenge

Procedures exist on paper but are applied differently in each country, and supervisors are rarely trained for international reporting.

Operational scope

Start with the tasks teams actually perform

The needs assessment looks at roles, languages, incidents and existing procedures. Modules are selected for officers, supervisors or in-house managers rather than delivered as one generic course. Local legal requirements remain part of the programme, and IPN training does not replace statutory qualifications.

Practise decisions under realistic conditions

Exercises use site-relevant scenarios: a refused visitor, an intrusion alarm, an incomplete handover or an escalating incident. Participants practise reporting facts, contacting the right person and staying within their authority. Debriefs identify misunderstandings and procedural changes needed before deployment.

Assess application, not attendance alone

Assessment combines knowledge checks and observed exercises appropriate to the programme. The skills passport records completed modules and assessed skills; it is not presented as a state licence. Managers receive development priorities so site supervision can reinforce learning after the course.

Illustrative scenarios

These scenarios illustrate an approach, not completed client assignments. The scope, resources and objectives are agreed for each project.

A supervisor programme across three countries

A group wants supervisors in France, Italy and Spain to report incidents consistently. Local-language workshops use the same incident scenario and reporting template. Participants practise escalation and handover, then managers review sample reports to identify where coaching is still needed.

Outputs: tailored modules, exercise reports, assessment results and skills passports.

A tabletop exercise before a site opening

Before opening a new site, facilities, reception and security teams rehearse an incident affecting access and operations. The exercise tests who takes decisions, how information reaches leadership and how staff receive instructions. The debrief produces procedural corrections rather than promises of crisis-free operations.

Outputs: exercise brief, decision log, debrief and revised escalation procedure.
